The west side of Chicago in the 60’s was called ” The Best Side” because of job opportunities. The west side has many neighborhoods that are filled with history, Its Austin area plays host to landmarks like; The Austin Town Hall Park, Columbus Park, and the Seth Warner House. The west side houses; the University of Illinois at Chicago, Central Park Theater, the Rail Way Power House, Jennie Foley Building, The All state Arena which is the home of the Chicago Bulls, Abraham Groesbeck House, and Notre Dame De’ Chicago. The west side is also home to neighborhoods, such as; Logan Square, Garfield Park, Old Irving Park, Wicker Park, 606 walkway, Portage Park, The Pilsen Historic District, Pulaski Park, and the Story-Camp Row Houses.
